We are delighted that Massod is now joining the practice for two days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Massod started at St Mark’s in January 2015 and has proved a very popular member of the team, providing smiles to those visiting the practice through his handiwork but also with his banter!
When he’s not working at our orthodontic practice, he spends his time in the Orthodontic Department in at Kings College Hospital and in his newly renovated house.
A new tax on the soft drinks industry will be introduced in the UK, the Chancellor announced in the March Budget. The government has finally listened to pressure groups, including dental professionals.
The tax is aimed squarely at high sugar diets particularly from fizzy and soft drinks. Fizzy drinks and high sugar diets are not only associated with increased rates of tooth decay, but with obesity and diabetes.
How much sugar is in your drink?
We are very pleased to announce that our lovely nurse Nesta will be starting an Oral Hygiene Clinic and the first was held on Tuesday 19th April. This will enable our patients to spend dedicated time with Nesta in a 1 to 1 session going over brushing techniques for fixed braces in addition to dietary advice.
We will be recommending this clinic to some of our patients and if you are interested in booking in, please contact reception and bring along your toothbrush!!
